CONDITIONING
Keep Leather Soft & Supple
Conditioning helps maintain softness and prevents drying or cracking
- Apply every 6 - 12 months
- Use a leather-specific conditioner
- Test on a small, hidden area first
WHAT TO AVOID
Protect Your Investment
For longevity and to protect your sofa, do not use
- Harsh chemicals or cleaners
- Baby wipes or alcohol-based products
- Excess water
- DIY solutions like vinegar or household cleaners
All leathers have natural markings, which are a sign of quality. Lower-grade hides are often sanded to remove these markings, making the leather thinner. The photos above show common markings in quality aniline-dyed or pigmented leather. Pigmented leather hides more markings due to the use of pigments instead of transparent aniline dyes.
