Shipping & Delivery Policy

At The Sofa Company, we aim to provide a smooth and reliable delivery experience from purchase to placement in your home.


Delivery Areas

We offer shipping across Ontario, with enhanced delivery services available within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).


Shipping Rates

  • Local Deliveries: Free delivery over $2999. Delivery starts at $125 (calculated at checkout).
  • Outside the GTA: Please call us for pricing before placing your order. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on distance and delivery location.

Delivery Services

For deliveries within the GTA, we provide white glove delivery, which includes:

  • Delivery to your room of choice
  • Removal of packaging materials
  • Assembly of sofas

Removal of old furniture is not included but can be arranged for a small fee.


Delivery Timelines

  • In-stock and floor models: Typically delivered within 1–2 weeks
  • Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to logistics, weather, or carrier delays

Delivery Scheduling

After your order is placed, our team will contact you to:

  • Confirm delivery details
  • Arrange a delivery date and time window

Missed Deliveries

It is the customer’s responsibility to be available at the agreed-upon delivery time.

  • If a delivery is missed, a re-delivery fee may apply
  • Additional charges may apply for rescheduling or repeated delivery attempts

Access Requirements

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all purchased items will fit into the intended space.

This includes:

  • Entryways, hallways, staircases, elevators, and doorways

If delivery cannot be completed due to access limitations:

  • The order may be subject to additional delivery fees
  • Return or cancellation may be subject to our Refund Policy
  • Delivery fee will not be refunded

Delivery Conditions

Our delivery teams will make reasonable efforts to complete delivery safely and efficiently. However:

We are not responsible for:

  • Items that do not fit into your space
  • Damage resulting from insufficient access or tight spaces
  • Delays caused by factors outside our control

Damages or Issues

Please inspect your items upon delivery.

If there are any issues:

  • Notify the delivery team immediately
  • Contact us as soon as possible after delivery

We will work with you to resolve any concerns in accordance with our policies.
